Your favorite yarn store has a new look and a fresh batch of new yarn! We've worked hard to make the store easier to navigate while being warmer and more inviting than ever before. The front area adjacent our wall of windows has been transformed into a relaxing lounge complete with sofa and cushy cushions - perfect for working on your project while gazing out at the relaxing waterfall in the courtyard. Further back in the store you'll discover yarns lines new to the store as well as a fresh batch of old favorites.
Three special guests will be hosting events and showcasing their new yarns throughout the day: Kristine from A Verb for Keeping Warm, Maia and Brooke from Tactile Fiber Arts, and Robin Page from Pagewood Farm.

Featured Guests
- Kristine Vejar is a spinner and dyer from the Oakland area. Kristine specializes in naturally dyed fibers and yarn, and will be demonstrating spinning with a spinning wheel.
- Maia & Brooke from Tactile Fiber Arts, also from the Oakland area and specializing in fine fibers and yarns utilizing natural dyes. Maia and Brooke will also be demonstrating the art of spinning.
- Robin Page from Pagewood Farm in Southern California. A spinner and dyer with a background in rug hooking, she is becoming well known for her hand dyed sock yarns. Robin will be demonstrating needle felting featuring a new scarf kit she is developing utilizing her hand-dyed fibers.
Trunk Shows All of these lovely & talented people will be bringing lots of fiber & yarn for you to admire, fondle, and purchase to take home. Merino, Blue-Faced Leicester, a baby camel/tussah silk blend, silk/merino blends, baby llama, baby alpaca, and polwarth fleece are some of the spinning fibers to be found, as well as such yarns as an aran weight blue-faced leicester, a sport weight baby alpaca/silk, and light DK yak/merino blend, and loads of sock yarn, including a yummy cashmere blend.
Door Prizes Everyone in attendance will fill out a ticket to be put in a raffle for an amazing grand prize: a genuine black leather knitting bag from Skacel, valued at $175! This messenger bag has room for all of your straight & circular needles, notions, and of course yarn + projects. You need not be present to win.
Additionally, the first ten (10) people to purchase sock yarn dyed by one of our guests will receive a free set of Lantern Moon Sox Stix - a set of 5 double pointed needles made out of rosewood, blonde wood, or ebony!
Refreshments Light refreshments will be served throughout the day, including Iced Tea complements of my good friends and neighbor The Juicery / Tea of Tranquility.
